Robert Scott

Robert Scott is a corporate finance, media, sports and entertainment lawyer at HBA with a background in sophisticated public and private securities offerings, private placements, venture capital, private equity, and general corporate representation to rights owners and brands and other businesses of all sizes.

Mr. Scott has worked with a variety of public and private companies, start-ups and individuals in connection with business structuring, financings and operations. In addition, Mr. Scott frequently advises recording artists, athletes, music and film producers, DJs, record labels, filmmakers, photographers, fashion designers, and visual artists.

After practicing for a number of years in his native Australia, Mr. Scott joined the corporate finance department at Shearman & Sterling LLP in New York, working on large, multi-jurisdictional financings, representing both issuers and underwriters. He later moved to King & Spalding LLP, where he spearheaded a variety of public and private financings, before spending several years as a sole practitioner servicing clients in media, entertainment and finance.

Mr. Scott is admitted to practice in New York, New South Wales and Western Australia.
